The Science of the Finish: Our Elite Technology
At Track Girl Magic Timing, LLC we believe that every athlete’s hard work deserves absolute precision. That’s why we utilize the FlashTiming FT-FATLS Plus system, a gold-standard solution that combines high-speed video with advanced line-scan technology.
Unrivaled Accuracy (Up to 1,000 FPS)
When a race comes down to a lean, "good enough" isn't an option. We operate at frame rates of 500–1000 FPS, the optimal range for:
- Pinpoint Precision: Clearly identifying exactly when an athlete’s torso breaks the plane of the finish line.
- Breaking Ties: We meet and exceed NCAA standards, which require ties to be broken to the 1/1,000th of a second. Our imagery provides the clarity needed to determine advancement and placing with total confidence.
The FT-ID Advantage: Never Miss a Bib
Identifying athletes in a crowded finish or a tight pack can be a challenge. To solve this, we’ve integrated the FT-ID Front-Facing Camera into our setup.
- Front-Facing Verification: By pairing our line-scan data with a front-on view, we make it easy to read bib numbers and confirm identities instantly.
- Error Reduction: This dual-camera approach virtually eliminates identification errors, ensuring the right athlete gets the right time, every time.
